After being on the road for seven months in our RV, it is good to be back at our little corner of the world... Our Cabin In The Woods of Northern Michigan.
We love the laid back atmosphere the north woods has to offer. Along with the beauty of the woods, the beautiful sky and the cool clean air, we are surround with natures creatures... everything from the smallest up to the larger ones, such as black bear, deer elk etc.
Ginnie was born and raised in Michigan. I was first introduced to the north woods, when asked by her dad to go deer hunting in the area we now live in. That was back in 1953.. the year we got married. I knew back then I would one day want to live here. In 1963 we bought property and built a shell of a cabin to vacation in.
In 1993 we sold our home Ohio and move north. After three years of adding on to the cabin.. remodeling it and building a barn/shop, garage. wood shed etc. we now have a modern place to live, but still in the wild. Ginnie loves her flower gardens and I think she does a marvelous job keeping them in top shape.
If you ever get up our way stop by... this is about as close as you will get to Heaven, with out actually being there!
I love your cabin and look forward to visiting there this summer.... I have such good childhood memories playing the woods with the ferns - building little huts and playing for hours.
